Went in for lunch and ordered then sat down and waited, the staff were not overly welcoming and i found a hair in my bread, I was gutted but had no time to mess about putting it back to get another. I will not be back in a hurry. Staff had baseball caps but long hair hanging down and all the ladies with long hair had no hairnet. If you are in the Buckie area you MUST call in to the 'Fry Inn' for the best Fish and Chips in Britain fried in dripping, the staff and indeed all the locals are ultra friendly and you won't have many minutes to wait for the tasty fare. If you return a second time your face is remembered and you are treated like a local. The Missus and I travel 50 miles each way every Tuesday for a fish dinner there, it's the only place where we will eat Fish and Chips so do yourself a favour and call in to Buckie and The Fry Inn.
My husband has been drinking here for years, and when we met he took me there for a drink and a sandwich. I ate mine which was ok, but when he bit into his, I noticed a long hair and pulled it out, only to find another one attached to it! We complained and to be fair the barman did give us a refund, but I'd never eat there again! My husband still drinks there every week with his friends but has twice come home and said they run out of vodka, he's not a big drinker or his friends but surely there's a problem when a pub runs out of spirit.
Hairy Lemon Irish Pub. All fish fries served with french fries or. From TripAdvisor. No rubbery texture like I experience in plenty of other establishments. Was everything perfect?
