Another sign of aging populations mean that you might soon see nappies targeted more towards pensioners than pre-schoolers. In the UK, manufacturers believe that adult incontinence products will soon sell more than ones to deal with menstruation. Around the world, that transition seems already to have taken place. Adult nappies are outselling nappies for babies in Japan, analysts at Pew Research Center believe.
I don't know where else to look for this, so I am hoping someone on this forum can help out, I hope this is an OK altough odd and embarassing question. I have read Japan has great disabled facilities for changing but I am unsure of where to buy adult diapers I will bring enough with me to last the first couple days. Can someone help out and give me an address of a drugstore that carries some selection? Searching online I couldn't find much in English, I know they are called "seijin-yo omutsu" or "otona-yo omutsu".
Otonamaki - the art of adult wrapping - sees people wrapped in cloth they swayed from side to side. A new craze is taking Japan by storm and sees adults wrapped up like babies and swayed from side-to-side. At a recent session in Tokyo organised by a non-profit organisation dedicated to post-natal women, five tried out the new trend. Each took turns to tie each other in a large cloth from head to toe and in a cross-legged position, with the guidance from the session's organiser Yayoi Katayama. They also swayed lightly from side-to-side after being laid gently on their backs in the hope of helping loosening the muscles and bones.
